Materials Library Presents FLESH
at the Wellcome Collection

How often do we consider flesh as a material, with properties and behaviours that make it truly wondrous stuff? This event is a celebration of the material: flesh in all its glorious forms, from bacon and biceps to figs and fat. For one night only, join Materials Library for an experimental and experiential insight into flesh within the Wellcome Collection galleries. Touch, feel, smell, cut, drill and even taste flesh with experts such as surgeons, bodybuilders, butchers, artists and scientists.

The evening will begin with a performance from champion bodybuilder Big Troy Brown, followed by an introduction by Materials Library and their special guest, before we break out into the gallery space for a hands-on exploration of flesh.

Friday the 9th of November 2007
From 18:30 onwards
Licensed café all evening

This event is free
